Poubille was a farming property built, according to some sources, in around 1854. Like many farms in the area, it was later abandoned and eventually overrun by brambles.

Poubille was bought by a person living in the Paris region, who came down every weekend to "work" on restoring the property. The ultimate aim was to turn it into a permanent residence and a holiday house..

The restoration project was on the verge of completion when events beyond the owner's control obliged him to sell the property. We bought Poubille in 1988.

This is the new Poubille… after numerous improvements.

Two new houses were also built for our children.

The chalets were completely restored.
